Create a Statement-Making Look with Omega Watches - Johnson & Co

Omega, a brand known for manufacturing the first ever timepiece to reach the moon, is synonymous with style and innovation. Their timepieces are a perfect embodiment of meticulous artistry and art. Moreover, features such as unrivalled accuracy and alluring styles make Omega watches stand apart in the watchmaking industry.

Omega: When Precision Meets Style

The origin of Omega dates back to 1848. Louis Brandt, a young watchmaker, started a small workshop in a Swiss village named La Chaux-de-fonds. Initially, he manufactured pocket watches that were supplied by local distributors. Later, with his passion, his watch market proliferated to countries like Scandinavia, Italy, and England.

Brandt’s sons, Louis-Paul and Cesar, took charge of the company in 1879. The first significant development came in the form of a highly advanced calibre called Labrador. The company started to be known as Omega. However, in 1930, it merged with Tissot. Omega focused on high-end watches, while Tissot made mid-range watches. The brand saw several developments, and it was in 1983 that Omega joined the Swatch Group.

Apart from stunning designs and styles, the brand is widely praised for introducing the tourbillon in a luxury watch. Moreover, the brand has a wide variety of chronograph, dive, anti-magnetic, and dress watches. From quartz to mechanical, Omega has a lot to offer.
